Classic Sunset River Safari

Using specially designed jet propelled boats, passengers can reach the very shallow water amongst the islands directly above the Victoria Falls. Meandering between the islands gives you a glimpse of the ‘Smoke That Thunders’, after it has rumbled over the edge of the Victoria Falls.

Set against this picturesque backdrop, delicious snacks and chilled refreshments are served by a team of friendly, extremely informative staff, ensuring ultimate relaxation and a level of comfort and grace unsurpassed on the Zambezi river.

Livingstone Island Morning Breezer

All visits to Livingstone Island are during the low-water season, which usually begins in mid-July and goes through to the end of January. High-water visits aren’t possible as the island is continuously covered in the spray/downpour from the Victoria Falls.

Each day in the low-water season three morning visits of 1½ hours each (giving about an hour and fifteen minutes on the island). The tours depart from the Royal Livingstone Hotel at 7:30am, 9am and 10:30am. You’ll be given a short guided tour of the island, see the Victoria Falls from the same vantage point as Livingstone did 150 years ago, and enjoy tea, coffee, soft drinks and a light snack.

Transfers from your hotel to the Royal Livingstone can be arranged at an added cost.

Tour of Victoria Falls

A tour of Victoria Falls is a must-do when visiting this incredible destination given that it is the main attraction!  Getting up close and personal with the sheer magnitude of this thundering sheet of water will take your breath away.  The rainforest is cool and lush and a habitat for beautiful plant and bird life.  You will stop off at the various view points of the Falls and get to see them at different angles also experiencing the sheer drop beneath you.  A spectacular once in a lifetime experience.

The Falls are in full flood between April and June so be sure to wear a raincoat if you don’t want to get soaked.

Helicopter – Flight of Angels

A spectacular birds eye view of the whole Victoria Falls area. Choose between a 12/13 minute flight over the falls or a 25 minute flight over the falls, gorges and rural land. Aptly named the Flight of Angels after David Livingstone described it as “scenes so lovely they must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight”.
